Otolaryngology

The Otolaryngology Medical Service offers a complete check-up of the health of the ears, nose and throat for adults and children.

01

The Specialist ENT Examination (ENT)

The ENT specialist examination (ENT) and audiometric tests have the main purpose of diagnosing and identifying the presence of pathologies affecting the upper airways, the neck and the structures contained in the temporal bone (i.e. the bone near the ears, which forms the base of the skull).

These different parts of the body are treated by the ENT specialist, as they are usually affected by common pathological processes such as trauma, infections and dizziness.

02

Audiology And Otoneurology

Audiology and Otoneurology, branches of Otolaryngology, focus on analyzing and treating ear issues in both adults and children.

Audiology addresses deafness and tinnitus through tests, prescribing hearing aids or cochlear implants for severe cases.

Otoneurology examines the connection between the auditory, vestibular, and central nervous systems, particularly in relation to balance control, diagnosing dizzy spells and related conditions.
